HOW TO JOIN DARKSIDE BARBELL CLUB (DBC):
1. Join the QWA (Queensland Weightlifting Assoc) as an athlete (we have forms at the box you can fill out to join – cost is $58/year)
2. Commit to a date in the future (3, 6 or 12 months) that you will compete in a Weightlifting competition as an individual
3. Show up to as many Darkside training sessions as possible. This doesn’t mean it has to replace the daily CrossFit WOD completely (it can though) – you can train both throughout the week using the different programs (below). It is worthwhile asking Marty or Matty what the best combination would be to suit you and your goals. Talk to Marty or Matty anytime.
Training times for Darkside members to complete the Darkside WOD:
Mon to Fri 10am (We advise resting one day during the week. This is usually Thursday)
Saturday 8.30am
The coaches train at the 10am time slot and Sat 8.30am so it’s a great time to train and get ‘experienced’ eyes checking your form & technique.
